The One That Got Away
Unrequited love is love that is not openly reciprocated or understood as such, even though reciprocation is usually deeply desired. The beloved may or may not be aware of the admirer's deep affections. The Merriam Webster Online Dictionary defines unrequited as "not reciprocated or returned in kind."[1]

Love
Then said Almitra, "Speak to us of Love."
And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them.
And with a great voice he said:
When love beckons to you follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Drams what do they mean?
I was still upset when I woke up.. I dreamed I was a working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, a very important older man walked in with his much younger flavor for the eve. Suddenly the room was all a buzz because of this guy. Who the hell was he? My female boss shoved me to get over to him. She ordered a brandy Alexander which was carefully made. Easily balancing the drinks on my tray I headed over to Mr. No big deal. When suddenly I noticed the stairs were covered with pillows. The busboys were putting pillows on the stairs? I couldn't walk straight on the pillows. My bosses boyfriend calls me over to this private room, where I am sure he is going to make it all right. He sits down and turns on this giant TV. Finally I tell him I gotta go deliver the drinks. I return to the bar only to discover pillows are gone, they have their drinks already, and every one is staring at me. Why did you put the pillows on the stairs? I demanded to know.
Then I woke up
Then I woke up
